Roundtable Discussion: Addressing Unmet Clinical Needs in Emergency Care through Federal Research-funding

  1. Dr Dan Grant, CEO, MTPConnect
  2. Dr Peter Bragge, Associate Professor and Director of Health Programs, BehaviourWorks Australia

MTPConnect, the Medical Technologies and Pharmaceuticals Industry Growth Centre in conjunction with the Department of Health and the Medical Technology Association of Australia (MTAA), is developing the second round of the BioMedTech Horizons program. The $35 million program makes funding available for biomedical researchers and entrepreneurs to drive breakthrough discoveries towards proof-of-concept to commercial development.  This breakfast symposium will help identify the most significant clinical challenges in Emergency Care that can be addressed by medical technologies. Input from clinicians will directly shape the upcoming funding round to ensure it is carefully and appropriately targeted to drive improved patient outcomes.

You can register to attend the breakfast roundtable during the ASM registration process and as part of the registering to attend you will be able to indicate here  what you think is the most important unmet need and the symposium will discuss the top 10.
